Job Description

Diakonie Emergency Aid wishes to seek Human Resource consultancy services from a competent practicing Human Resource consultant.

The scope and expected TOR is as defined below. Organizational Background Diakonie Emergency Aid is a non-governmental organization Head Quartered in Berlin - Germany that provides principle-oriented humanitarian aid worldwide.

The Regional Office in Nairobi implements the guidelines of Diakonie Emergency Aid in its projects and programs within the framework of the binding principles and applicable guidelines of the organization.

The Scope The scope of this process shall be to audit the Human Resource position of Diakonie Emergency Aid Regional Office in Nairobi against industry practices and the legal requirements of the Government of Kenya.

 

The Terms of Reference The role of the consultant is expected as per the following terms of reference.

a) Review of HR policies and procedures

b) Review Job Descriptions against organization structure and bench mark with similar organizations

c) Review report on remuneration packages from an independent surveyor (already engaged)

Expected outcomes Diakonie Emergency Aid shall be expecting the following outcomes;

a) Revised HR manual and policies aligned to Government of Kenya Regulations as well as industry practices

b) Revised Job Descriptions and Specifications

c) Recommend competitive compensation based on the independent surveyors report as well as revised Job Descriptions and Specifications

 

Requirements

 Registered member of a professional HR body, preferably IHRM.

 Experienced HR Consultant in the key areas highlighted in the Terms of Reference, with proven track record.
